KAMAG Transporttechnik delivers 500th "Wiesel“

In a festive ceremony, the Ulm-based KAMAG Transporttechnik GmbH handed over the 500th "Wiesel" swap body transporter to roll off the production line to its long-standing customer, DACHSER GmbH & Co.KG from Kempten.

15. April 2011. KAMAG management board member, Ulrich Bochtler, along with the responsible area sales manager, Jürgen Dirr, handed over the 500th "Wiesel" swap body transporter produced by KAMAG to Elmar Fünfer and André Bilz from DACHSER. Following a short welcome speech, the official handover of the keys to the longtime customer of KAMAG Transporttechnik took place. With an annual turnover of 3.8 billion euros, over 19,000 employees and around 10,000 transportation units, DACHSER is one of the leading logistics service providers in Europe.

At the end of 2004, KAMAG took over the sales and production of the "Wiesel" from the former parent company, Kögel, and since then has carried out the marketing under its own direction with great success. Thus, the 500th vehicle has now been delivered within this very short period of time. The KAMAG "Wiesel" swap body transporter is a special vehicle which has been designed for on-site transportation of all types of swap bodies as well as semi-trailers and trailers. The "Wiesel´s" customers include all well-known logistics companies, parcel service providers, mail order houses as well as various postal organisations. In addition, numerous industrial companies belong to the customer base of the extremely manoeuvrable swap body transporter.KAMAG is market leader in this segment.
