[Ladle Transporter
Removal in ladles.
The transport of molten steel in so-called ladles places high demands on both man and machine. The ladle transporter from KAMAG is optimally equipped for this challenging transport job.
- The ladle is placed in the centre of the transporter in a the low-bed platfrom, which can then be hydraulically lowered onto the ground for crane loading. The low-bed platform can be lowered to the ground. An extensive range of protective measures ensures that the driver's cabin and the drive components are protected from the heat.
- From the driver's cab, the transporter can be manoeuvred clearly and easily in spite of its size.
- Thanks to the steerable pendulum axles and the hydraulic axle compensation, which compensate for uneven ground surfaces, any desired position can be reached.
- The driving height of the transporter is minimized by the low-bed platform.
- The low-positioned loading bridge is supported by a total of 8 steered pendulum axles. With this all-wheel steering, the transporter can be agilely driven around the steel plant - and is also very manoeuvrable even in tight situations - despite its huge dimensions.
- With a dead weight of 55 tonnes, the stably designed transporter handles a payload of around 180 tonnes.
- The hydrostatically driven ladle carrier can master gradients up to 8% when fully loaded and reaches a speed of up to 6 km/h with the dangerous cargo.
The manoeuvrability of the transporter considerably increases the transportation efficiency compared with conventional systems.
